ownership, comes more and more ways to involve pups in activities traditionally reserved for humans. Halloween trick or treating in costume is no exception. If your pooch is always nipping at your heals, or chews on everything in sight, then an outfit such as a dog shark Halloween costume, may be just the right fit.

Halloween dog costumes come in all shapes and sizes to fit the smallest pooch to the largest. The dog shark Halloween costume is made out of 100 percent polyester and is machine washable in cold water. There are two versions on the market. One is just a basic grey shark that depicts the entire body with head, eyes, teeth, fins and tail. Your dog's face is visible inside the open shark mouth whose inner material is red. The mouth is the hood, while the rest of the costume is attached with Velcro around the neck and middle under the stomach.

The other option is the same grey shark body and parts with the dogs head again poking out from the mouth. This version though has more of the red inner mouth showing and two strategically placed shirt-sleeves with partial arm and hands sticking out. This will certainly draw a few laughs and comments about your dog having eaten a grumpy neighbor.

Both shark options offer an appropriately placed hole for attaching your leash. In addition to the adjustable Velcro closures, there are elastic straps that fit around your dog's back legs to keep the costume in place. The material is plush and poly-filled in the head, fin and tail areas, as well as the fake human arm option.

Walk your little shark door-to-door in the neighborhood and he certainly will be gobbling up the treats. Make sure they are only for pups though, as actual people chocolate and candy are not healthy or safe for the canine kids. Happy Halloween.
