Kids Dinosaur Costume For Halloween

Every Halloween you are bound to come across a trick or treater dressed in a kids

dinosaur costume. These costumes can come in many colors and species of dinosaurs. Many kids costumes are made of some type of cotton blend material, or synthetic fiber blends.

A T-Rex costume could best be described to have a hood designed to resemble a head. A full body costume would follow and have a large swinging tail. The only part that would be seen as uncharacteristic to a T-Rex would be the length of it's arms. It would be difficult for a child to have their arms restrained to copy that of a T-Rex. Though any color can be chosen when making the costume, this type would normally be found in either a green, or greenish brown color. There are times that the colors could match those of a popular TV show character named Barney. These costumes will be Purple with a green stomach.

Another popular choice for a kids dinosaur costume is the stegosaurus. The most distinguishing characteristic to this costume is a line of plates down the back and into the tail. The plates are usually depicted as a single line of triangles down the back. Some more detailed costumes will have two rows of plates which would be more accurate to a real stegosaurus. A simple hood will top off the costume nicely.

Pterodactyl is another great kids dinosaur costume. A hood with a beak in front like a visor then raising to a point towards the top and back replicates what a Pterodactyl used to look like. The arms would have fabric attaching to the body to simulate the wings. A Pterodactyl costume is more likely to have a wider variety of colors available.

No matter which species of dinosaur your child chooses, it is a genre of costumes that is timeless. The materials used and the designs may change over the years, but there will always be a child out there on Halloween dressed as a dinosaur.
